The Day Chatsworth Please Read Me

My Day

Today I had reserved for Chatsworth. After a vegetarian breakfast, I walked up from "Stone Lodge" to the bus park outside Matlock Railway Station. There was a direct bus route every hour or so from Matlock to Chatsworth. The bus journey only took about half an hour. Ideal! To "get to Chatsworth", just "Left Click" on the picture below.

Here is the famous Painted Hall at Chatsworth.

Coming back in the evening was just as easy, except that at the end of the day, it poured and poured and there was no shelter at the bus stop outside Chatsworth House. The Chinese couple waiting at the same bus stop for the Chesterfield bus tried to wedge me under their umbrella. In the event, their bus came sometime after mine, and they probably got even wetter than I did. Anyway, I got back in one piece and decided to improvise an evening snack at my hotel. Apart from the rain, it all worked out fine. The visit to Chatsworth was culturally definitely worth it, and the logistics of transport and evening sustenance were also fine.
